Hi,

IE 6 is no longer allowing me to search from the address
bar. As an example, clearing the field of text and typing
in cats brings up "page can not be found" with this
http:///? cats in the address bar. Never had this issue
before.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE with no change.

This is running on latest version of xp professional.

Running nortons firewall and antivirus.

This started after the spyware program I run by
www.bulletproofsoft.com found a couple entries in the
registry. Am running their latest version 8.

Any ideas how to correct this issue would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Larry

Larry,
BPS Spyware is bogus and should be uninstalled.
The " http:///? cats" usually indicates a broken URL prefix setting.
