can not read attchments

I am learning how to use vista home but can not read the text etc when
opening attachments. Theycare just jumbled text. I have installed adobe 8
,but having no luck, can any body help?

What file extension are the attachments? It sounds as though you are
receiving files for which you don't have a program associated. Examples are:

..pdf - This would be for Adobe Reader and not anything else
..doc - MS Word
..docx - MS Word 2007

This has nothing to do with Vista. Attachments are files, just like
any other kind of files. Files are read with programs appropriate to
the type of files they are.

Since you haven't told us what kind of files these are, or what
program you can't "read the text etc," it's very difficult to help
you.

Adobe 8? Adobe is a company, not a program. Do you mean Adobe *Reader*
8? Does that mean these are .pdf files, and that you are reading them
with Adobe Reader?

If so, you can control the text size in Adobe Reader by going to View
| Zoom, or most easily by holding down the Ctrl key and scrolling the
mouse wheel. One way makes it bigger, the other smaller.
