When I try to open a .pdf file on a web page, I get the "This page cannot be
displayed" message.

I can go to the same web page on other computers on my local network and
open the .pdf's with no problem.

Hi Bob :-)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

IE browser software defaults Acrobat Reader to "OFF" to display PDF files.
You can restore the setting to"ON" by finding an Acrobat document and then
opening it.

Then click Edit> Preferences> Internet> check the box next to "Display PDF
in browser"

If still no joy, try the information here:

Hi Vincenzo :-)

Thank you for the additional information, I have not seen this site. There
are so many different ones to keep up with it seems. I've added it to my
reference library. :-)
