Per this link: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?
kbid=812935, apparently this is a known issue with IE 6.0
SP1. Rather than needing to call Microsoft and be
billed, does anyone know of a fix for this? The acutal
error message is" Internet Explorer can not downlaod
filename.pdf from www.website.com. Internet Explorar was
not able to open this Internet site. The requestesd site
is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try
again later". This is only effected on one of my users.
Anyother machine I can download just fine. And this is
not website specific, any .pdf file can not be opened or
downloaded on this machine. No Events are written either.

thank you

From the article:
"NOTE: In special cases, charges that are ordinarily incurred for support
calls may be canceled if a Microsoft Support Professional determines that a
specific update will resolve your problem. The typical support costs will
apply to additional support questions and issues that do not qualify for the
specific update in question."
