I have always been able to open my photos I store in "my pictures". But all
of a sudden, when i click on an image, I get a message stating that this file
can not be opened because it's not a "valid Winn32 application"
What happened to change this, and how do I get it working the old way again???
I am a photographer and I need those files!!

Most likely they are not associated with any application, or possibly
they are still associated with an application that you no longer have
on your PC.

Did you by any chance uninstall any applications recently? If you
installed something that associated all image files with itself and
then uninstalled it, it may not have "yielded" the association. Go to
Winodws Explorer and click on Tools>FolderOptions>File Types and then
scroll through the list of file types to each type of image file. Then
browse to the photo editing or viewing application you wish to use and
select it, then OK out of the dialog.

Or you can, while in the My Pictures folder, right click on a phot
file, select "Open with...", and then select the application you wish
to use to open your photos. Make sure you put a checkmark in the
"Always use this..." box.
