Greetings everyone.

I have a W2k box with a private IP addr of 192.168.100.21
located in our central office. We have just opened a
second office (with a different private IP addr of
192.168.200.0) and I have W98 boxes trying to login to
the central DC. When they attempt to connect it cannot
find the domain. I have XP Pro boxes that are able to
map drives to the DC.

Now I am adding a second DC and plan to balance the load
between sites with directory replication, etc. The IP
addr on this box will be 192.168.200.21 and in a similar
fashion -- It cannot find the domain to join.

Routing is obviously not an issue as I am able to map
drives from the first DC across a serial WAN. Granted I
am doing this with \\192.168.100.21\sharename. Since I
am not able to ping or browse to the server
name...Perhaps this is really a DNS issue? In which case
this is the wrong forum.

Thanks for any help.
David
