can not get paper to upload to class ..due in 15 mins..HELP...

I have my document saved. When I go to my on-line class I need to drop mt assignment in the drop box. It has me upload ..it asks for file name..when I put it there or click it there with the mouse I get a message stating I have an invaild character in the name....Help...Please...Just installed Word today.
 
What is the filename you are trying to use?
