Hi,

I have a problem with 1 terminal server, when i click on
programs i get this error msg.:

"Cannot find the file <full path to app that I've tried to
start> (or one
of its components). Make sure the path and filename are
correct and that
all required libraries are available."

I have tryed to find som solution on technet, but can't
find any thing.. :(

The system is : Windows 2000 Server SP3 and Citrix
MetaFrame XP.

I have found people with similary problem, but no
solution.

Sow, can any one help me ????

Did you check if the executable actually exists at the
expected location?

Example: If your Word icon specifies a target of

c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Winword.exe

then you should use "My Computer" to check if Winword.exe
exists at the above location.

All executable files are there.

And when i trye to start a program
from "Start/Run/Regedit.exe" i get the same error..

When i trye to start IE from the Taskbar i get the same
error, but when i start IE from the desktop it works. ?????

The server has been fine for almost 1 year, the last 2
weeks there has not been any program update or anything
else that has been changed.. The problem started this
mornig after the scheduled reboot...

I would try this:
- Reboot the server
- Find out the difference in the Properties of your two
IE icons: The one on the desktop, and the one in the
Quick Launch bar.

Well, have restarted the server many times, and the
problem is not just the IE. It regards word.exe/Citrix
management Console/etc....almost all icon(short cuts) that
refer to an executable file. The system seems to run fine,
but i can't start application's with out getting that
error. Have don a virus check, and found non...

Can you open a Command Prompt? If you can, what you get
against this command:

echo %pathext%

If you cannot start a Command Prompt directly, can you start
one from a networked machine, using psexec.exe (free from
www.sysinternals.com)? Again I'd like to know the value of
%pathext%.
