Hi chikibum :-)

What version of Windows and IE are you using? And, are you on dial-up or
broadband service (cable, DSL, LAN, etc)?

This information will help us help you better. :-)

Thanks for your quick answer, I have window xp, home edition, version
5.1.2600,service pack 1,build 2600, my IE version is 6.0.2800 and I use AOL,
dial-up. Thanks for any help.

Hi chikibum :-)

I forgot to ask too, if I can install SP2,or first, I have to fix my IE

The rule of thumb is to resolve any known problems prior to installing SP2,
as it can cause various problems itself, thus, it is best not to compound
anything. Only IF the installation of SP2 will resolve the first problem,
should you jump into SP2 before resolving the problem first. There may also
be some scumware involved in your current problem, and that will make things
even worse to add SP2 on top of that.

We are not at the point of determining if SP2 is necessary at this just yet.
Let's take it one step at a time. :-)

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps

I think that I should tell you , that I used to have an adware in my computer
that my norton antivirus used to tell me all the time, but I tried in
different ways to get rid off and I could not, but suddenly after many scan
with norton antivirus, spybot and ad-were SE, I notice that my antivirus scan
did not show anymore.Could be the reason that my IE is not working well.
Thanks for your answer.

IN view of the fact that you have had a problem with adware and removal, it
is possible that some files were damaged, lost or corrupted during the
process. I suggest that you do a repair of your IE:

XP

But, before repairing IE6 SP2 you will have to remove Windows XP Service
Pact 2 from Control Panel>Add or Remove Programs. Then use the last
method in this article:

Yes, eliminate any spyware.
What You Should Know About Spyware
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/devioussoftware.mspx

CAUTION!!!!! Before you try to remove spyware using any of these programs ,
download a copy of LSPFIX from any of the following sites:
http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
http://www.spychecker.com/program/winsockxpfix.html
(if your OS is Win2k or XP) The process of removing certain malware may kill
your internet connection. If this should occur, this program, LSPFIX, will
enable you to regain your connection.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:
