can not dowload from ftp folder to vista 64

I have ftp folders which I've used for user using winXP, now that I have a
vista 64 machine, I can upload to them, but can not dowload from them.
using windows explorer, after succesfuly logging into the ftp folder, I try
to dowload a file but after hanging for a while, i get a message saying
access denied. How can I resolve this?

Try FileZilla
 
Try to look at file/folder properties, security tab.
Make sure that 'Everyone' group has at least Read permissions set.
