Can Not Create a Hotmail Account

Several months ago I created a Hotmail account but did not use it. Recently,
when I received mail at that account it was returned to the sender as
"mailbox unavailable". However, I have a MSN account and can access those
messages in Hotmail. I can also send emails from Hotmail.

I have attempted to setup another Hotmail account but "setup account" is not
available in the options. When I tried to download Hotmail Live, I received
an error message.

I noticed that MSN email is now referred to as MSN/Hotmail. Does this mean
they are now one email?

I think you ended up in the wrong newsgroup as this one refers to the program
included in Vista, Windows Mail. You can't access Hotmail accounts from Windows
Mail. I noticed that you posted to the Windows Live Mail newsgroup, the beta
program that does support Hotmail accounts.
To create a new Windows Live Hotmail account, make sure that you are not signed
into a LiveID when you go to http://www.passport.net or http://account.live.com
Create a new account, which will be a (e-mail address removed) account. Then follow the
prompts to activate and use your new Hotmail account.
Yes, Windows Live Hotmail, Hotmail, and MSN email accounts are all using the
same back ends. @msn accounts are typically paid accounts for subscribers to MSN
services, but once the subscription is terminated, the @msn email account
reverts to a free Hotmail account, keeping the @msn domain.

I don't know how you can say his reply has not been posted when you include
it in your reply.

Some spammer is sending mail using you Hormail address as the Frim address.
It goes to an unavailable mailbox and gets returned to you. Just delete
such messages without opening them and never, never open any attachment.
