Can Not connect to printer and receiving error message

Recently had to replace hard drive. Each time I boot up
computer, receive following message:
"Spooler Sub System App encountered a problem and needed
to close" I do submit via internet to Microsoft.

Also (maybe it is related) I can not get my printer
connected to the computer.
