The problem I am having is that I can not close IE window or any other
windows I open when I am using IE. I click on the X (to close) and it goes
into "end program" mode and shuts down IE. Everything else in IE works fine
except for this problem.

This just starting happening. I have the most up to date service packs, I
use spyware, I use McAfee as my security center and I have BBHODemon loaded
and everything is coming back clean. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Just got answer from Microsoft. You need to go into your IE options, go to
advanced. Under the browsing heading, look for an entry that says "enable
third party browser extensions", if this box is checked uncheck it. That
solved my problem. They also had me go in to manage my add ons (internet
options, programs, manage add-ons. A list of add on pops up and I disabled
any that were blank under publisher or (not verfied) even if it had a
publisher.
Hope this helps.

I have been having the same problem as the both you and JenF66. I have
downloaded additional adware to assist in indentifing the problem and was
unsuccessful even after removing all infected files. I have just followed
your instructions and the problem has been resolved. Thank you

I was having the same problem. I followed the instruction for disabling
thrid party browser extensions and my problem was fixed. Thanks dmen13.
