Not all RAM are the same. Just keep on using the 512 MB
PC3200. To change RAM complement, do it according to the
motherboard manual. But why would you want to decrease RAM
by 50% as well as FSB?

This should tell you that the RAM module has a problem either in itself or
compatibility issues with your motherboard.. it is not unknown for types of
RAM to work in some computers but not in others..

Use this diagnostic tool to ID your RAM..

Your mobo may except pc3200/pc2700/pc2100 up to 2-3mb depending, but you
need to decide the best bang for your buck.. In your case pc3200 is the
fastest for your system and seems to be the current memory of choice, so you
just need to add another pc3200 512mb, as long as the new mem is pc3200 it
should work.. You need to check the manual in any case to be absolute..
