I am unable to boot in WIN2K safe mode. Normal boot to the desktop has no
problem.
I have WIN2K PRO with SP4 installed.
Here is the exact text of the Safe Mode Stop Error I receive.
***STOP : 0x0000000A (0xF6D19354,0x000000FF,0x00000001,0x80464109)

***Address 80464109 base at 80400000, Date Stamp 45069e6e-ntoskrnl.exe
Here is some additional information about my copy of ntoskrnl. I did a
search and found 13 instances if the file.
The most recent are located in:
C\Windows\SYSTEM32\dllcache
C\Windows\SYSTEM32\
C\Windows\Driver Cache\i386
All with a "Date modified" as 9/12/2006 and the same file size 1,690,880. As
far as I can remember, I was not doing any system or file work on that date
C\Windows\$NtUninstallKB920958$ dated 10/6/2005 is the next date, file size
1,691,008, with all the others in a C\Windows\$NXXXXX file and different file
sizes.
Checked for virus and none found, no new hardware added.
I have concluded that the ntoskrnl.exe may need to be replaced.
Is that the next step?
MY Question: If I use the repair console or sfc to do a repair, where can I
get the most recent good copy of ntoskrnl.exe? I have the original WIN2K PRO
install CD, but it is several years old and I would suspect the ntoskrnl.exe
has been updated( based on the file size of the older copies of ntoskrnl.exe
listed above).
Here is some other trouble shooting results.
Thanks, krazykat
I ran debugwiz, and selected the most recent (9/05/2006) "mimi102806-01.dmp
file. I received a completed debuglog.txt file (there may be something
corrupt with the user.dmp file).
Here is the results:

Closing open log file c:\debuglog.txt
