can not add printer

I have downloaded a driver for my printer (LexMark Z43)
but I can not add the printer. Whenever I click on the
<Add Printer> button under "Printers and Faxes" on
the "Control Panel" I get the message, "Operation could
not be cpmleted." How do I get my printer installed?
 
Print spooler sefice may be disabled. Go start,
administrative tools(also found in control panel)
services scroll down to print spooler set startup type to
automatic in properties. if you wish to reply, email me
