In XP Professional, I can not access my "Folder Options." The icon is present
among the "Standard Button" menu in the folder window, but does not respond
when I click it. Is there any way to get this working again?

Open any of your Folder and click Tools menu. See if Folder Option is there
in the menu. If it is not then maybe it is disable.

Click Start - Run - type GPEDIT.MSC
Expand to:
User Configuration
Administrative Templates
Windows Components
Windows Explorer
In the right side pane see for an option called:
"Removes the Folder Options menu item from the Tools menu"
Double-click it. If it is set to Not Configured or Enabled then change the
setting to Disable.

If that doesn't work then:

1. click Start - Run - type REGEDIT
2. Here expand to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
SOFTWARE
MICROSOFT
WINDOWS
CURRENTVERSION
POLICIES
EXPLORER
3. in the right-side pane check for the DWORD value NoFolderOptions
4. If it is not there then create a new DWORD value by right-clicking
NEW-DWORD
5. Type a name 'NoFolderOptions" and press Enter.
6. Double-click the entry and set the value to 0
7. Open any folder and see if Folder Options is there. If it is still not
there then Log Off and Log in again or make a restart

Further, you must check your computer for Spywares. Hope this information
helps you, let us know!
