can not access files on external SATA drive

I just bought a USB 2.0 SATA Hard Drive enclosure kit and attached it
to my PC. It was recognized as a local disk F in My Computer.

The problem I am having is that when I try to access my files in
F:\Documents and Settings, I get a message stating "F:\Documents and
Settings\Jim is not accessible. Access is denied."

I can not figure out how to access that folder? Any suggestions?

You need to 'take ownership'
