on the new w2003 sbs standard I added computers and users to the domain
without any problems, both on the local lan and those connected and routed
via a external firebox router.

The server has one NIC.

Before I ran the ras wizard all computers showed up on my browser, and I can
manage all computers from the server consoles.

After I ran it I can no longer browse or manage the routed workstations.

I can ping them in every which way from the DOS window and can connect to
them via a remote desktop.

I can not access them via \\host or \\host.domain.local. I can not see them
or search/find them using windows explorer.

How do I re-enable this function?

assuming you ping by name, what do you receive when using net view
\\hostname command? also check the master browser status by using
browstat.exe.

net view \\hostname results:

System Error 53 has occured.

The network path was not found.

'browstat' is not recognized as an internal or external command.....

hostname means your computer name. you need to install w2k server support
tools to use browstat.

What option did you select when you ran the RRAS wizard? What is RRAS
supposed to be doing?
