Can there be more than one person editing a powerpoint presentation at once?
Basically, can two people open up the same powerpoint presentation at the
same time?

Yes and no.

Suppose you and I both have access to a network server and on the server there's
a file called Presentation.PPT

If you open it first then I open it, Powerpoint will tell me that you've beat me
to it but will let me open the file read-only.

I can't save it back to the same filename as long as you have it open.

Once you close the file, I can then do Save As and call it Presentation.PPT and
save the file. And if I do that I'll wipe out any edits you just made. Bummer.

So yes, you can do it, and it may work for your needs, but a lot of caution is
in order.
