Can ME be upgraded to XP for Home PC?

My question is one can Windows ME be upgraded on my home PC to windows XP and how would you do so if it is possible?

Any computer with a P-III CPU of 400MHz / AMD K-6/K-7 or faster, minimum 128 Megs
RAM, CD or CD-RW, minimum 32MB Video Card, Sound Card and a 20 GB HDD should be
sufficient. I would STRONGLY recommend a clean install of Windows XP and don't attempt
an upgrade directly from ME.

Back up all of your important data to a CD and then proceed with the upgrade.
