Can map home shares/printers by IP, but not computer name

Hello.

I have multiple home computers running XP and Norton Internet Security.
They are connected via a 10/100 hub and share a common workgroup name.

I can map drive shares and printers by IP address, but not by computer name.
When I use Windows Explorer to browse "Microsoft Windows Network" from an
Admin account the workgroup name displays, but I receive the following error
message:

{workgroup name} is not accessible. You might not have permission to
use
this network resource. contact the administrator of this server to
find out if
you have access permissions. The list of servers for this workgroup
in not
currently available.

Any suggestions?

Thanks - Dave

Dave,

One of the most common causes of this problem would be a misconfigured or
overlooked personal firewall, but there are other possibilities too. What
antivirus products do you use?

If no help yet, provide "browstat status" and "ipconfig /all" from each
computer, so we can diagnose the problem. Read this article, and linked
articles, and follow instructions precisely:
