Can a Windows 2000 server running RIS, contain both Windows 2000 PRO client
images AND Windows XP PRO images??? If so, how can it be done?? Thanks!!

Mike

Yes it can. Just add another RIS image to the server the way you would
normally:

Open Active Directory Users & Computers.
Locate your RIS server computer object and double-click it.
Go to the Remote Install tab.
Click Advanced Settings.
Go to the Images tab.
Click Add
Then follow the wizard.

Mike

you'll need to use the new version of riprep on the xp clients too...

That worked!! It let me copy the XP cd onto the machine, and I am doing a
basic install right now. Thanks!!

Although I am not sure what you mean Barry?? I haven't tried yet building my
own xp image and then have it copied up to the server yet.

Mike

if you are planning to add extra program to the ris image and then
distribute that image, you'll need to find the xp version somewhere
