Can Index have page hyperlink?

Can an index item have a page link?

For the TOC, the page number is a
hyperlink, but for some reason the
page of an Index is not.

Hi John,

The "for some reason" is that Microsoft never provided that
functionality. It's fairly often requested, but it doesn't exist
yet... and I'm not holding my breath.

You can manually insert hyperlinks, but they'll disappear the next
time you update the index field.
