Can IE6 "wrap long lines" when displaying text?

Is there a "wrap long lines" setting for IE6?

I was trying to view this page:

http://today.reuters.com/investing/...127_RTRIDST_0_MARKETS-CANADA-DOLLAR-BONDS.XML

and for some reason the displayed text window is absurdly wide.

The Article you mention has the <pre>-tag around the wide text. On MSDN you
can read: "Text within the PRE element is formatted. Spaces and carriage
returns are preserved.". So it's actually a choice the sitebuilders made,
and IE6 is "only doing as he's told"?

So what your saying is that IE has no way to wrap to the text to the
current window even if I wanted it to.

That page has a "Printer Friendly" link for its article. Try that instead?

In general what you can do to wrap long lines is copy a selection of them
(e.g. using Shift-Click and Ctrl-c) and pasting them into a Notepad window.
Then make sure that Word Wrap is on in Notepad. (Alt-o,W)

Another trick which is less general (e.g. doesn't work for all pages)
is to use File, Send, Page by E-mail. At least when the E-mail client
is OE you can then use the Source pane to find the <PRE> and </PRE>
tags, delete them and then click on the Preview tab to see the paragraphs
wrapping to fit the column size.
