can i write a letter using coloured text

i am using microsoft word to write a letter to a friend and was wanting to
know if it is possible to write the text in colour, and if so how do i get my
text in colour. thanking you karen jones.
 
This is an ACCESS newsgroup, not a WORD newsgroup.

You might try using the Word help file. Formatting your text is pretty
basic and not worth wasting someone's time in a newsgroup.
