Hi, I've set-up a wireless LAN at home to share Internet access, files and
printer. It's working great (Belkin cards).

But it's an ad hoc (peer-to-peer) network (no server) and I was wondering if
it's possible to send and receive e-mail to other family members (using
their networked PCs/laptops) without using Internet (POP3) e-mail? Is it
possible to set up an internal e-mail system over a peer-to-peer network?

Cheers.

I use Outlook at home just the way you describe. However,
you need Workgroup Post Office (WGPO).
I use MS MAIL. The following links should provide you
with all the information you need. )If you had included
information in your message about what operating system
you using and what version of Outlook the help could
have been more specific).

Depending on what version of Outlook and Windows:

E-mail using Exchange

Microsoft Mail Service

To use a Workgroup Postoffice

Add MS Mail support to Outlook 2002:

Add MSMail to Outlook 2003
