Can I use my Athlon XP 2400+

Bought one of the above recently intending to slot into my Soltek MB
which currently has a Duron 1.3Gz CPU in it. The MB is this unit

However looking at the site and my manual I am not sure I can set the
CPU external frequency, PCI frequency or FSB fast enough for the CPU.
I think this CPU needs a FSB of 266Mhz and a multiplier of 15x. There
is a bit of confusion between the web site and the manual. The web
site says the board only support 200Mhz FSB while the manual has the
following options:
CPU External PCI Frequency FSB Frequency
Frequency
100MHz 33.3Mhz 200MHz
105MHz 34.3Mhz 206MHz
....
....
133.3MHz 33.3MHz 266MHz

and Bus Ratio Select from 5.5x to 14x

If I set the Bus Ratio select to 14x and the CPU External Frequency to
the last line (so FSB 166MHz) would this work? Might not get the
whole speed of the CPU but it should be fast enough?

The first thing I'd do is update to the latest BIOS. Even that may
not be enough, the board may not POST at all, at any speed. That is
what I'd expect to happen, no post. There's a better chance it
would've worked with an XP1600 Palomino, but then that's not near as
much of an upgrade. Maybe it'll work though, but the 100MHz FSB and
PC100 memory will cripple performance.

The KT133 chipset was "originally" meant to support 133MHz (DDR266)
FSB but it never quite made it, none of those boards are stable much
over 100MHz (DDR200). You might find it's stable up to around 110MHz,
but that's about all you'll get. IF the board manages to post you
should go ahead and choose the higher multiplier it offers, but I
expect you'll have instability because a board that old isn't designed
to support the power requirements of the processor, it was doing good
to even work with the Duron 1.3GHz.

IMHO, you shouldn't even try the CPU in that board, as slightly more
modern boards, new enough to support an XP2500 are pretty cheap these
days, and give MUCH more performance per CPU MHz. Basic PC2100 memory
is pretty cheap these days too, though I hear the price is still
rising slowly.
