Sorry, the 6 hours are gone, Andrea. That is unless you are using Vista
with the backup functions active.

There are some things you can do to minimize the possibility that this would
happen again in the future, but nothing can rstore the file.

Hi Andrea

It depends. If you are using 2007 and you haven't closed the file you can
undo even though you have saved. If you emailed the presentation to anyone
you can check your sent items. If you use Vista try right clicking the file
and you may find a 'restore previous version' option. Other than that, I'm
afraid you're out of luck. Unless anyone else has a sneaky suggestion I
haven't thought of... Oh, you could try searching for .tmp files, but I've
never had any luck with that myself.

Right click on the PP file, click NEW. You are back on presentation
preparation mode. Edit all you want.

English is not my first language, please tell me : what is your definition
of " restore " ?
If you have made your editing, you can save it under slightly different file
name. That case, you still have the original.

The original poster said they had saved over the top of the original file by
mistake and wanted to know if they could get that original file back
(restore). Sorry for the confusion :-)

If the original poster, after editing, used the same file name to save,
he/she would be asked if he/she wanted to replace the original.
If the answer was yes, that was it. Bye bye the original.
