Can I type a URL without .com and get it to go?

I think I have found these settings before. As it works now if I type
a URL in the address it goes to Yahoo search.
 
What about .org, .net, .biz, .mil, etc?

What about them? I guess I should have added that .com should be
assumed. There are browsers that do this (most I think). I think IE
also has this option, It is just hidden pretty good. I would not
expect to get a hit on any other extention without specifing it.

I think Yahoo's toolbar hijacked this. I have uninstalled the toolbar
but it's damage lingers.
 
Hi,
Try the Ctrl+Enter shortcut. Type (for example) yahoo in the Address Bar and
hit Ctrl+Enter. That should add www and com.

Or, I can usually leave off the www and just type yahoo.com.
