I need to know if i can switch to Outlook from Outlook Express and not lose
all the adresses and saved e-mail folders i currently have.

You can switch and lose nothing, if you do it correctly.
 
OE and OL need to be on the same PC, and I assume OL has been installed and
opened
In OE export mail to OL
In OL import addresses
