I have the hp t5720 512 flash 256 ram...for my anti-x software to work i had
to add a page file on c:\. ut no i only have like 30mb of space left on c:\.
If i go to the 512 stick of ram i'm thinking i could get away with no paging
file, but those are list $99 found for $70. Thumb drives are pretty cheap
and the thin's will be locked in a kiosk unit so no one would be ale to pull
the thumb drive out. What are your thoughts? thanks

Hi Jeff,

I would suggest the RAM solution since flash memory has limited life in
terms of write cycles. A pagefile would likely chew one up pretty quickly.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_flash_drive

"Like all flash memory devices, flash drives can sustain only a limited
number of write/erase cycles before failure"

(Man, I love wikipedia :-))

HTH,
Brad

Thanks, one last thing...
So should i have user's turn off the device everyonce in awhile? If i have
the EWF disabled will restarting even matter? It's not flushing anything
then, right?
