Just recently took the leap from several years of XP to Vista Home Prem, and
have to say I am loving it. I am using Windows Mail with an IMAP account, in
which several folders are nested under the INBOX. WM opens with these
closed, and I have to click on the little arrowhead next to the INBOX to
open the folder tree. Now I know that's not a deal breaker, and I can live
with it OK, but I just wondered it there's some way of changing that to
starting with the folder tree open. Thunderbird does it, so I just wonder if
someone here can offer a suggestion. Many thanks.

Tools | Options | General tab
"Automatically display folders with unread messages"

would be about as close as you can get. You would of course have to have an
unread message in there.

Now, whether it works with IMAP can't say for sure. IMAP has a lot of
quirks with WIndows products.

Thanks for the thoughts. I'll settle for clicking the little arrow by the
inbox I guess. It's not a major. Have a nice day.
