I want to use a DVD to show my power point presentation on a TV. With
Windows XP I am not able to do that. What other software do I need? Or, is
there another way I can copy and save the presentation?

HI Donna

I am afraid you can not save PPS to DVD directly. One common and easy
solution is to convert your pps file to a video file in MPEG format so
that you can burn the video file to a DVD. All together, you need a
conversion sooftware and a burner.

Maybe you can try this application-------PPT2DVD
http://www.sameshow.com/powerpoint-to-dvd.html
It supports the duplication of the original PowerPoint presentation .

And there are some tips here:

how to videotape a powerpoint presentation

Try downloading this software:

http://bytescout.com/ppttopdfscout.html

It costs $49, which is cheaper than the Camtasia software (about $150) that
has been recommended. Bytescout gives you a free 30 day trial period for the
software.

As an amateur of PPT, I find it very easy to use.

Best of Luck :-)

Try downloading this software:

May I ask what good it would do to convert a PowerPoint presentation to PDF when
the goal is to produce a DVD? I think it's fair to assume that a video is
wanted, else why use DVD?

Have you taken a look at it? PPT to Video Scout involves a simple wizard
that gives the option of converting a presentation into the following formats:

DVD with AC-3 Compatible Audio
MPEG-1 Standard
AVI File
Video CD
Super Video CD

I didn't see any PDF option involved with the software.

Oops! I see that I goofed. The proper path for the PPT to Video Scout
1.20f Software that converts presentations to DVD is:

I tested out the link myself. It will take you directly to the download
page. Sorry for any confusion. I'm sure that Donna appreciates your looking
out.
