Hello, I'm very new at this, and I'm trying to save a small animated page I
made in Power Point for a friend as a gif. for him to use in a forum...is
there any way to do this, or am I using the wrong program . thanks for any
help .

If you want the animation to stay, then your using the wrong program. You
need something like Corel's Animation shop

Yes, but ...

1) Big file
2) May not be the quality you are after
3) May take a long time
4) I'm sure there is more.

Use a product like Camtasia to capture the show as a WMV, then save out each
frame of the movie. Now recombine the frames into a GIF.

I don't know why you need the GIF format, but this will get you there. It
won't be a pretty trip, but you'll be there.
