can I retrieve files I deleted in error?

I accidentally deleted cookies and files. I have lost
some pictures that I really liked. I have tried system
restore, but I still canot find my pictures? Can anyone
help?
 
its best to have norton anti virus or system works then u have protect
recycle bin. if the pic were in a temp directoy then there gone for good.
