can i repair a jpg file that change with notpad ?

hi
can i repair a jpg file that is changed by Notepad ?
unfortunately i chaneged a pic by Notepad :) , i wanted to remove the
name of photoshop in top of that
but that file can't open anymore.if event i type the text that before
be
when a file that isnot a text file is opened with notpad a lot of
unmeaning codes are seen but some of them are meaningful
please help me ...

This question probably belongs in a group like comp.graphics.apps.photoshop,
but your best chance of repairing it would be to open it with IrfanView.

If you simply deleted a few characters, open it in Notepad again and insert
the correct number of characters where you removed them from. Simplified a
bit, the jfif file format (which is what jpeg-encoded images are stored in)
has sections of particular lengths, so if you chop a part out of one of
those segments it doesn't know where the other segments are.

thanks for your answer
for example : if i delete ever one "a" character and save the file and
after that type that and save the file it can't be repaired
i don't know why
my problem isn't only for my jpeg files
any file i work have this problem
like swf file

thanks for your answer
for example : if i delete ever one "a" character and save the file and
after that type that and save the file it can't be repaired
i don't know why
my problem isn't only for my jpeg files
any file i work have this problem
like swf file
