Can I recover an email attachment blocked by Outlook 2002 SP3?

I created an email export file (.pst) and emailed it from work to my home PC
yesterday as an attachment. Unfortunately, when I retrieved my emails from my
ISP server (btinternet.com) Outlook regarded the attachment as a potential
threat and blocked it.

I need to find a way to access the emails contained in the .pst file as they
contain some information that is important to me. There is no way to recreate
the .pst file as my work email account has now been closed because yesterday
was my last day working at that company.
