can i put a AMD Duron 800Mhz in a GA-7VT600-L Motherboard?

Hi
I have just put together the following:

Gigabyte Model GA-7VT600-L FSB 400 / Socket A (Motherboard)
Memory 512Mb DDR 400 CL2.5 184 Dimm
AGP X8 1.5v im not sure what card to get yet.
Hard Drive 80Gb DiamondMax Plus Ultra ATA/133

My question is can i put a AMD Duron 800Mhz Processor in the above system or
will it kill it?

The manual says "Supports 1.4GHz and faster". However, you might be able
to set the switch on the board to 100mhz FSB and all should be well. The
GA-7VRXP manual says 1.4GHz and above, too, and I've used a Duron 850 in
one without issues.
