Yes. You'll need the full stand-alone version of PPT, not the upgrade
edition.

Echo you are incorrect.

To the OP & Echo, the qualifications for upgrade are listed on this page
about 1/2 way down.

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX101754511033.aspx#2

Qualifiers for upgrade to any 2007 PPT program is: "Microsoft PowerPoint
2000–2002; Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003; Microsoft Works 6.0–10;
Microsoft Works Suite 2000–2006 or later; ******any 2000-2007 Microsoft
Office suite*******; any Microsoft Office XP suite."

***** are my marks to highlight your qualifying product.

Ah, my bad. Thank you for pointing this out.

(The only defense I have (and I'm not saying it's a good one!) is that this
was the case in all prior versions of Office -- you couldn't just add PPT to
an Office suite by using the upgrade version of PPT. I should have refreshed
my memory about 2007 specifically before posting, since you *can* use any
Office 2000-2007 suite to qualify you to use the PPT Upgrade edition to add
PPT 2007.)

Hey, we all make mistakes and I probably should have phrased the statement
to you a little more diplomatically, sorry.

Oh, I didn't have a problem with it at all. No worries.
