I presently use FTP to publish to the Internet. I saw a man doing it once
directly from the web pages on his computer. How do I do this?

If your host has frontpage extensions available you can upload direct t
your site and go

-
IMBuz

This depends on a few things
The experts here say don't use FTP on a server with FP Server Extensions

In FP you can use Publish Web... from the File menu

If your server is an FTP server, then choose this option (Mine is). Actually
, I seem to recall I had to set this up once only as I don't have to do
anything any more.

You should allow FP to check for all files to publish.
You can publish selected files if you know that you have only changed
these - but take care, there are hidden files which FPSE servers need and
which FP publish takes care of.

The experts here may have more guidance

You really don't give enough information but:

-If you are using a CMS (content management system) you can publish certain things to an existing website without using an ftp program...that would kinda look like your using a web page to upload.

-Some hosts provide a built in website builder so you can build pages...that would also look like your publishing through a web page.

-IE used to (i think it still does) have ftp client built in so you could actually upload/download files to your web with IE - I haven't used this in years but I think it's still in there.
