quick answer is yes. You need them to have physical connectivity ( network
cables / hubs etc )as well as logical connectivity ( using a common
protocol )
Easiest way would be to acquire an Ethernet cross-over cable and 2 Ethernet
network cards.
Use TCP/IP for the protocol. Provide each machine with an IP address (
192.168.79.1 and 192.168.79.2 ) and use a common subnet mask (
255.255.255.0 )
In the %windir%\system32\drivers\etc folder, edit the hosts file and add the
names of the machines as well as their associated IPs )
