Can I Move the default data location?

all I want to do is share the same data & personal files on 3 systems so
that I can access the same mailbox at each location. I have looked at all of
the sync & sharing programs for Outlook but all of them are a pain with the
default location. If I move my data to a folder that could be shared easily
I could then use that data file from all 3 systems. It is only my email and
no one else uses it so I don't have security problem.

Your best bet would be to see if your ISP offers IMAP mailboxes. Otherwise
you are talking about accessing the pst file across a network, and that is
both not supported by Microsoft and is also possibly the quickest and most
frequent way to a corrupted pst file.

Otherwise it is very easy to move the pst file to a shared folder - with
Outlook closed, just move it!
 
you can move the *.pst but network access or sharing is not supported. only
1 outlook at a time can use a pst.

Yes you can and as long as you understand the caveats posted already (i.e.,
only one Outlook at a time can access the PST and if there's a network
glitch you can lose the entire PST), nothing stops you from moving your PST
to a network share and using it there on each PC. I've done it. Be sure to
make frequent backups (i.e., copies) of the PST.

I still think the IMAP route is the best solution....
 
yes, imap is almost always the best solution but not all mail providers
offer it. It's not perfect though - especially if you use rules. Not that
rules work well when outlook is sharing the pst either, unless just one
outlook downloads the mail.

Thank You everyone. It would only be me accessing the program and only one
location at a time. I am not sure which suggestion I am going to use but I
will supply an answer after deciding which way to go. Once again Thanks To
All!
