Can I move older VirusDef folders?

I have Norton SystemWorks 2002. My comp is partitioned, and my C: drive is
rather small. I looked in c:\program files\common files\symantec
shared\virus defs and found dated folders. Does anyone know, after you do a
Live Update, if only the currently dated folder is used for virus
protection? Or are all the folders used in a cumulative way when the
computer is scanned:? If I could delete those older folders I could save
some space (the oldest one is March 2003). Thanks for any help.

(I went to the Symantec site looking for the answer to this, all I could
find were install troubleshooting directives).

Wendy,

I would keep the 5 most current and you should
be able to delete the rest with no problem.
