Can I make a "macro" of sorts for a long URL?

I am using Windows ME and Internet Explorer 6.0.2800.1106. There are a
couple of long URL's that I would like to be able to insert easily into an
email message, without having to type the long URL.

Is there a way to create a keyboard shortcut or some other way so that I
insert a certain URL into an email message quickly? I will appreciate advice.

I will also want to do this on another computer using Windows XP home
edition. Will I do it the same way there?

No need for a macro, simply right-click on the link and then select "Copy
Shortcut". You can then paste it into the body of your e-mail message.
