YOU CAN.

But i'm not 100% sure how - this is something I'm gonna sort out when my sky box is delivered.

Basically, you need an 'S-Video' input on your graphics card. If you haven't got one, you'll have to get a new graphics card. Luckily, almost all decent new graphics cards have an S-Video input, so you might be able to kill 2 birds with one stone if your graphics card is outdated.

The S-Video cable will go from the corresponding socket on the Skybox to your PC, after that, you will have to check in the manual for your graphics card how you exactely get that image appearing. I doubt they'll make it that difficult for you.

As for 'recording' the image, you'll just have to look into screen capturing software - Im sure if you can press the 'print screen' button to get an image of the screen you should be able to find software that will record moving images for you..

One thing you WILL probably have to do is change your monitor resolution to 800x600 everytime you want to watch TV - as televisions operate at a much lower resolution (partly because they aren't supposed to be viewed from 2 feet like a monitor)

BEWARE: S-Video ONLY carries the VIDEO SIGNAL. You will need to make sure your Sky Box also has an audio jack which can then go into the AUX input on the back of your PC/Soundcard!!

I was just gonna post a thread asking the same thing!!

We got Sky+ at the weekend. Not working perfect yet, so waiting for the engineer who was meant to be here before 3pm.

Read this? http://www.automatedhome.co.uk/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1603

The engineer was telling me you use the Serial port on the back somehow... and you can pull programs from your hard drive to your PC and then burn to DVD.
