Can I install and run IE 6 and IE 5.5 on the same machine in parallel ?

I would like to install version 6 AND version 5.5 of the Internet Explorer on the same machine.
Can I do this or does this yield problems?

Can I do this on Win2000 AND winXP?

No. Only one IE per operating system.
If you dual boot between the two operating systems they can each have their
own IE version, although WinXP cannot have anything lower than IE6.
