I have a system that uses Windows XP with embedded restrictions.
Without going into too much detail about the system we have a very
occasional scenario which results in a failed resume (I suspect the
Hibernation processes is being compromised) during resume I get the option to
"Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.".
Pressing Enter as instructed allows the system to recover successfully.
However the end users of the system do not have a keyboard available, and we
have to Hibernate the unit to meet very stringent start up speeds. I'm not
using HORM for other reasons.
I'm looking for a way to either:
1. Inhibit the message completely, forcing the deletion of the Hiberfil.sys
and forces a full reboot on error
2. A timer option for the message so after a defined period it forces the
deletion of the Hiberfil.sys etc.
I know switches exist to change timer settings on the boot menu option, but
I can't find any information on failed resume menus.
Any help would be appreciated.
