Can I hide a link once it has been used?

I am a newbie when it comes to powerpoint and I have a question, I was hoping
someone could help me with. I have a master slide with numerous links to
other slides. I need to know how to hide the text of a link once it has been
clicked. For example, when I click link one, it takes me to slide one. When
I am finished with slide one, I click a link back to my master slide. When I
get back to the master slide, I would like the link one to be hidden. Is
that possible? I would appreciate any help that you may be able to offer.

Thanks

First of all, you should note that the "Master Slide" is a specific thing
in PowerPoint, so when you use that for something else, it might confuse
PowerPoint people. There are a couple of different ways to do what you
want. You can set the color of a "Followed Hyperlink" by editing the
color scheme. You can even set the color to white so it looks like it has
gone away. Alternatively, you can make shapes your links and then you can
set a trigger animation to have the shape exit (disappear) when something
(even the shape itself) is clicked.
