can i drop photos in and out of the same slide?

What version of PowerPoint are you using?
In PowerPoint 2002/XP and above, you can add entrance (fade) effect and exit
(fade) effect on the images. Then set the Start (On click or After previous)
and adjust the delay accordingly.
